Enantiomer: A Chemystery Novel is now available!
What readers are saying about Enantiomer:
"I almost didn’t pick up this book because chemistry, like maths, is guaranteed to have me running off screaming. But I didn’t and I’m glad. The author keeps it light, with every day explanations that even I managed to understand. And he writes a cracking good murder story into the bargain. ... Then you’ll get to a magnificent twist in the tale that will leave you gobsmacked."
--Amanda Sheridan (UK), Author of Rapid Eye Movement
"The author skillfully blends elements of science and mystery, making it an accessible and intriguing read for those new to cozy mysteries. Overall, Enantiomer is a suspenseful and well-crafted novel that keeps you hooked until the very end."
--Athenais (Germany)
"The plot is engaging and filled with unexpected twists, keeping readers hooked from start to finish. The author skillfully blends elements of science and mystery in a way that's accessible to beginners, making it an enjoyable read for those new to the genre. Kyra's journey is supported by well-developed characters like the mysterious benefactor Amira and her friend Aster."
--Eduardo (USA)
"The suspense started building from the very beginning and kept me engaged until the end. The main character, Kyra, was the right blend of smart and curious and even made a top notch chocolate chip cookie! ... I fell in love with the characters and would love to see them again in another chemystery!"
--Jeffey K Corson (USA)

What chemistry professors are saying about Enantiomer:
"It was a blast to have scientifically and culturally accurate portrayals of academic chemistry research alongside a page-turning mystery that will keep you guessing until the end!"
--Christina Cooley, Associate Professor, Trinity University
"This was a fun read with a wonderfully woven superposition of chemistry and psychology. Hard to put down. It depicts the laboratory environment and the motivation and activities of academic scientists, some of whom wander, through no fault of their own, into legal and ethical problems that can have devastating consequences."
--Frank Blum, Regents Professor & Harrison I. Barlett Chair, Oklahoma State University
"This engaging novel combines a mirror image of life in an academic organic research laboratory with a twisty 'whodunit' involving a fatal off-campus use of recreational drugs"
--John Gladysz, Distinguished Professor, Texas A&M University

After decades of making molecules and writing patents and journal articles, I started publishing fiction in 2021.
The dystopic urban fantasy Green Sky Series chronicles Ely's struggles with near-future technologies gone awry. In Best Played Hands, he seeks his true identity as hedonistic and wholistic encounters compete for his soul. End Play challenges his sense of intimacy as he is bombarded by sensationalized episodes of exhibitionism, voyeurism, sex, and drugs. Not part of a series, the "chemystery" novel Enantiomer pits Kyra's chemistry skills against an unseen nemesis while she tries to solve a murder and look out for friends. I never know for sure what I'm going to write next. |
